Before treatment it is recommended that you do not take any products which may thin the blood such as aspirin or vitamin C supplements, as this may increase the chance of bruising or swelling at the injection site. Make up will removed from the injection site before treatment takes place.
The average effect of treatment with most lip fillers last approximately 6 – 12 months. It can be shorter or longer depending on your age, your physiology and lifestyle (smoking and exposure to sun UV rays may reduce the effects) and the amount of product injected or the desired result.
It is best to avoid touching the area or applying make-up such as lipstick immediately after. Also avoid alcohol for 24 hours after your treatment. In the two weeks following treatment, it is advisable to avoid prolonged exposure to sun or strong heat (UV rays, saunas, steam baths).
