Tired Eyes / Tear Trough

BOOK AN APPOINTMENT

The eyes are the first feature of the face to be seen. As we age, there are changes to skin elasticity, bony changes to the eye area, and skin sagging as you lose soft tissue volume.

The tear trough is the area between your cheek and lower eyelid. This loss of volume in the tear trough area, can cause under-eye dark circles, hollows and eye bags to appear.

Around the eyes, the crow’s feet lines and wrinkles can also become more prominent, making you look tired and older than you feel. Dermal fillers offer the possibility of restoring the volume loss and reducing the appearance of dark circles and hollows, rejuvenating the under-eye area and giving you a more refreshed and youthful look. Given the eye area is supported underneath by the cheeks, eye treatment can be done in conjunction with cheek fillers, for a fully rejuvenated appearance.

At London City Skin Clinic, we can create a bespoke treatment plan according to your needs. By using dermal filler injections to replace lost volume around or beneath the eyes (tear troughs), we can plump the area and give a more hydrated youthful look to help combat the appearance of tired eyes.

Frequently Asked Questions

For patients presenting with tear trough, we can successfully correct the problem with careful and intricate application of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers to replace lost volume around or beneath the eyes. By combining restoration of mid-face volume with treatment of the tear trough directly, we have been able to give a more hydrated youthful look to help combat the appearance of tired eyes.

Your dermal fillers will be administered personally by Dr Robby Bajaj. Adverse events are uncommon, usually occur within a few days of treatment and are expected to be temporary, usually resolving spontaneously within weeks.

Bruising and swelling may be more apparent the next day and can take up to 7 days to disappear. Tenderness should settle within 48 hours. It is suggested that you plan your tear trough treatment to allow for some recovery time, in case you have any upcoming social engagements. The final results are best judged at a 2-week review appointment.

We believe in providing tailored treatment plans according to the individual, their presented concern, and the desired result. Tear trough treatment starts from £400.
