A local anaesthetic will be needed to numb this particularly sensitive area before the filler is injected into the area of the lip to be treated. This will make the treatment more comfortable.

There are different quality HA dermal filler products available for lip enhancement, which can be discussed at your consultation.
Lip enhancement procedures provide immediate results that should last for up to six months after which time you may need a top-up to maintain the volume. The treatment settles after 2 weeks to give the final result.
Initially there will be some swelling and sometimes bruising in the lip area from the injections. This should subside within a few days.
