Anyone who presents with signs of skin ageing and is suitable for dermal filler treatment is also suitable for treatment with Profhilo. Once injected, the product immediately starts spreading due to the high concentration of HA. The technique is an extremely effective and simple standardised procedure to get reproducible results. There is no specific age criteria, although results for fine lines and lift will be more pronounced on mature skin.
As a stabilised product Profhilo lasts in the skin around 28 days. During this time the stimulation of 4 different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of HA.
The stimulation results in significant tissue improvement. Therefore we cannot say that Profhilo is a skin booster as it also has a significant tightening / lifting effect on the skin tissue.
Profhilo can be used on the face, neck, hands and other areas including arms where they may be skin laxity.
There are many characteristics that make Profhilo unique from anything else available on the market right now. It has been developed using technology that keeps it stable, and the stimulation of collagen and elastin, in addition to its hydration effect is backed by clinical studies.
The recommended course is 2 treatments 1 month apart, and then this can be repeated for maintenance after 6 months, or done as 1 treatment at 4 month intervals.
